Hi my name is Susan Knight, I am raising money for this precious family, Victoria and her daughter Maya. Maya had a heart transplant at the University of Virginia Hospital in March. Her mom Victoria is a single mother, and has been living in Charlottesville while her daughter has been receiving care for the past 5 months. They are from Richmond, and Victoria has not been able to work since helping her daughter. As you can imagine, bills, etc are piling up, savings depleted while she is here caring for her daughter. While I cannot help take the emotional stress away for Victoria, I want to help take some of her financial pressure away. I truly cannot imagine being a single mom with a sick child.
