Help a seriously injured international virtuoso and inventor of unique musical instruments to get back to his music, support young talents and stay with his 6-year old boy

Paolo, guitar virtuoso , composer and inventor from Parma, Italy, is considered by many as one of the best guitarists of his generation. He emigrated to the US on an EB-1 special visa for life, awarded to artists with extraordinary abilities. He suffered a seriously debilitating shoulder injury in a scooter accident.
In 2007 Paolo designed, built and patented an electro-acoustic stringed performing system, unique of its kind in the world to this day, allowing him to play more than one guitar at the same time with both hands and feet. In 2011 he also designed a unique 4-neck 49-string guitar . Paolo is also the founder of the non profit organization “The Innovatory of Music”, an international project created to help talented, young musicians kick off their musical career by giving them the opportunity to perform overseas.
His career was halted by this untimely accident. Now he is the one who really needs support.
Paolo had to cancel his concerts and fly overseas for an emergency operation. Now he needs help to get back to his music and to be able to care for his 6-year old son and wife, after 3 months of forced separation due to his medical treatments.
As if the accident, loss of work, separation from his family and medical expenses not covered by insurance weren’t enough, subsequent unsuccessful treatments and complications soon revealed that a rough fragment of the humeral head, approx. 1x1 inches, is pressing on both a ligament and a tendon.
He needs funds to pay the 6-12 months of treatments in order to rehabilitate and heal his arm as his shoulder is not moving as it should post surgery. To this day, after approx. 4 months, he still is in great pain.
Paolo's recovery will be long and challenging. There is no certainty that his shoulder and arm will completely recover, but Paolo is a fighter and is already doing everything he can to regain his arm’s functionality for his music, whatever it takes.
His medical care and costs are significant. Also, being so far from home placed an extra burden upon the family. We are seeking to defray these costs through this funding effort. The Schianchis are loved by so many people throughout the world who want to reach out. Any donation to help offset the medical cost and care for Paolo would greatly be appreciated by the family.
