A Real Philly Jawn food truck has been broken into six times since it opened on July 5th last year. In that time, four generators, an AC unit, a large speaker for guests, a cash register with a month's earnings, and a small safe containing a weekly drop were all stolen. A fire was set to burn the locks off the doors and window, causing even more damage. The thieves also tried to get in through the roof, which left cracks and now the ceiling leaks when it rains.
It has been a trying time for this business over the last 10 months, but they are steadfast in their mission to bring the best service to their little neighborhood in New Orleans East. The funds raised will go toward repairing the truck, replacing stolen equipment and food that was damaged, and redoing the roof so they can keep serving the community.
Do what you can. This fundraiser is being done for them because they would never ask for help themselves. Any support means the world and will help them get back on their feet after so many setbacks. Thank you for standing with local businesses like this one.
