Hello, I’m a 44-year-old man who is married with kids and an old athlete who loves motocross. I’m asking for help due to a very rare accident I was in. I am an accomplished racer with multiple championships starting in 1988. I’ve never been in a situation this bad. At this point in my life, I’m going to stop and recover. The plan is to sell the bike and all that comes with it due to how long of a recovery I have in front of me. Luckily, our bills as a family aren’t too bad but we have bills nonetheless. I’m a proud man who never asks for help until now.

Back story: I was at practice at a known track and crashed. This crash broke my hip, pelvis, femur, and the bone below my knee. I’m shattered from the hip down. I had surgery and I’m on bed rest now. Three months is a long time when I can’t move. Then a year of PT just to walk again.

I’m humbled to ask for help and I’m too proud to put all this on my beautiful wife who is caring for me and my two sons at the same time. My goal is $8000 because that’s just enough to get me to the 3-month mark of recovery. Anything helps and anything received will be appreciated from the bottom of my heart.
