<div>Hi my name is Michelle Knappmann and I'm a danish paracyclist.
</div>

</div>
<div>I’m raising funds for a new kneeler bike, a handcycle. Although the amount I’m seeking is large, I’m grateful for even the smallest contribution! The amount is high because the bike itself, without any modifications, costs 120,000 DKK (≅19,000 USD) plus additional costs for travel to get it fitted and modified.

</div>
<div>After two herniated discs and subsequent surgeries, as well as a procedure to fuse two vertebrae, I’m left with chronic pain in one leg. This turned my otherwise active life upside down and put a stop to sports. Today, I use a wheelchair part-time and can no longer sit on a regular bicycle.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Last year, I discovered para-cycling and started riding a handcycle. I’m currently using a second-hand bike that doesn’t fit me properly, which is why I’m seeking a new one.
</div>
<div>To get a good bike that truly fits me, it’s actually best to have it custom-built. That’s why the amount is quite large. Additionally, there aren’t many suppliers of these bikes.

<div>Approx. Cost Breakdown:
</div>
<div>120,000-150,000 DKK ($18,935-23,667) for carbon bike
</div>
<div>15,000-25,000 DKK ($2,367-3,945) for extra equitment
