A Mother’s Journey: Caring for My Daughter and Granddaughter

I don’t usually ask for help, but right now I am in a place where I need to. My daughter is currently fighting stage 4 breast and brain cancer, and I’ve been by her side through hospital stays, surgeries, and treatments. At the same time, I am caring for my 7-year-old granddaughter, making sure she gets to school and has some sense of normalcy in the middle of all this.

The hospital is about an hour and a half away, which means I spend a lot of time driving back and forth. Between gas, meals on the go, and everyday needs, it has become very difficult to keep up financially. I am not working right now because caring for my daughter and granddaughter is my full-time responsibility.

This fundraiser is to help ease some of those burdens so that I can focus fully on supporting my daughter in her fight and making sure my granddaughter is cared for.
