A devoted single mother has worked tirelessly for years to provide her pre-teen son with a safe and loving home. Her loyalty, intelligence, and sense of humor have made her a cherished friend and a valued employee at her company for over 11 years. Even on her busiest days, she finds humor in everything—cracking jokes to lighten the mood and making those around her feel seen and cared for.  Despite facing unimaginable challenges in a domestic violence situation, she stayed strong for her son, shielding him from pain and uncertainty and always putting his safety first. Recently, she made the courageous decision to leave and seek help for her mental health. She is now attending three therapy sessions a week and preparing to enroll in a partial hospitalization program for intensive support with PTSD and related symptoms. However, her employer denied her short-term disability, leaving her without income. With mounting utility shut-off notices, overdue rent, and bills piling up, she is at risk of losing her home and the stability she has fought so hard to maintain for her son.

 She has always been independent and successful, and asking for help is difficult and embarrassing for her. She hesitated to reach out, but her love for her son and the urgency of their situation made it necessary.
