Lydia Kicked Cancers Ass! Now She Needs Your Help!

This past February, my mom went to the Emergency Room with extreme side pain thinking that she had appendicitis. She ended up having diverticulitis (infection of the pouches in her intestines) but when they did a body scan to look at her appendix they saw a mass on her kidney and referred her to an oncologist to do further testing. When she saw the specialist we found out that my mom had a tumor the size of a grapefruit surrounding her kidney. putting her at Stage 2 Cancer. She wasn't showing any signs of having cancer at that stage and had she not gone to the emergency room that night doctors would have never found the tumor. They scheduled a surgery to get the tumor removed but they didn't know whether or not they would need to remove her whole kidney. On April 2nd, my mom had the surgery and they were able to completely get the tumor out. She had to spend a week in the hospital post-operation and take off 6 weeks of work to recover. She is still recovering but she is now left with $10,000 worth of medical bills.  While taking care of my 3 year old sister and my brothers in middle/high school now, adding medical bills on top is extremely stressful. All of the money that is raised will directly go to medical bills. If you know my mom then you know how independent and hard-working she is.
