Help a Mother of 3 Recover from Brain Surgery
Donation protected
Afia, a beloved housewife, was diagnosed with multiple brain tumors on February 5, 2020. Over the next 18 months, her condition worsened resulting in complete blindness, partial hearing loss, poor motor functions, speech difficulty, and dysphagia. Her family struggled hard to find the right neurosurgeon for her surgery and arrange sufficient funds for her operation and post-recovery.
4 days before surgery, Afia slipped into a coma and the surgeon declared her inoperable. Over the next four days, she showed some slight signs of improvement, encouraging the surgeon to take the risky decision to operate immediately. Miraculously, she survived the surgery and is currently in ICU for post-op recovery, unconscious since September 6, 2021.
Her loving husband, two handsome sons, and a young daughter -- are all looking after her full-time. Her sons are engineers by qualification and are working as freelance consultants to manage finances. Her husband retired 5 years ago, while her daughter is a full-time undergraduate student.
The family has exhausted all their resources -- worth around GBP 7000 -- and are working round the clock to save Afia. However, her prolonged unconsciousness and slow recovery have forced them to seek external support. The doctors are unsure about how long it will take Afia to regain her consciousness, but she is vitally stable and gradually showing some slight signs of recovery.
Your support can ensure uninterrupted and intensive medical treatment for Afia, improving her chances of recovery and making things easier for her family in this difficult situation.
