My name is Lana, and I’m reaching out because my children and I are in a crisis. For over 90 days, we have been displaced and living in an extended-stay hotel, paying a high weekly rate just to have a roof over our heads. This has drained everything I have — mentally, emotionally, and financially. I have applied to multiple homes, hoping to give my children stability again, but I have faced rejection after rejection due to lack of income and a past conviction. Every denial has been heartbreaking, but I never stopped trying.
