For a better quality of life

This is by far going to be the hardest and equally most shameful thing I've ever done, but I have to try something.  My name is Sarah and I have 5 children and a supportive loving man who's always by  my side.  I was married before and back then we were a military family and after 3 kids I become morbidly obese.   It was terrible, I had a hip disease that contributed to my weight gain due to not being able to exercise like other children be active from age 7 until just 2018 when I would receive a new hip in Nov on my birthday.  Backing up to January 2007 I had gotten a verticle banded gastroplasty  to aid me in weight loss, because under my physicians care with many diet and exercise regimes I still could not lose enough weight.  After my initial surgery in 07 I lost from 242lbs down to 160lbs in less than a year and I felt great.  FFW to 2013/2014 I started having acid reflux so bad I vomit and csnt sleep,  ive been b a ck to the doctors, but my insurance will not accept a bariatric surgeon in Texas unless its a Bariatric treatment center of excellence .  Guess what?  There isn't one!   I got word recently from a close cousin of mine of a place that will correct the issue with my initial surgery .  I forgot to mention the issue...

Believe it or not the band has corroded  over time and has began cutting into tissue causing some acid and ulcers.  I , like my mother now have high cholesterol.  The place we found is awesome, but they too don't take my insurance, however thy are the cheapest anywhere with a complete 3 day stay and complete procedure  for just under 5K .  From. 2010 up until 3 years ago I was a single mom of 5.  Id sometimes have 2-3 odd jobs at once to just make ends meat.   Everything reated on me.  Im not complaining here just shedding light on our life.  I lost my mother due to a major stroke and high cholesterol  a year ago and im completely terrified  I will be next. I have told my honey that I want to do this again and he supports me, but financially we don't have it.  Because of this covid mess I've had to stay home and hes supported us, but i feel like it wouldn't be fair to put this all on him.  If insurance would cover even with a co-pay I certainly would go that route.   Considering it isn't an option I have decided to take a leap of faith and share my story and through prayer I will come up with at least half by August 5th 2020. I pay forward all the time and im always giving I hope people can find it in their hearts to be compassionate and understand.  With that I bless you - Sarah
