Help a local Veteran pay bills

My Canton, MI neighbor posted this yesterday on Nextdoor and I was moved to create this page to help them out. Please give and help return thanks to this wonderful Vietnam Veteran.
Here is her message: My husband is a 100% Disabled Vet, has a morphine pain pump implanted in his stomach, and the VA has taken him of of his 100% Disability compensation (someone is in trouble for this). In the mean time we are unable to pay a very high electric/gas bill. The DAV only took care of our water bill, they said it's a 1 time shot. I do not want to lose our home, the money coming in is paying for the mortgage and groceries, needless to say we have fallen way behind. I am reaching out someone has to know something we can get some assitance from.. calling state senators and congressmen has gotten us nowhere. I am perfectly capable to work, but I have to be home with him at the moment I Pray that I will be able to get out and back to work soon. Our Vet's are treated horribly.
