Help a Hero, Aaron needs a Liver

Donation protected
We are reaching out on behalf of Aaron S., a former Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics agent who dedicated years of his life to keeping communities in Oklahoma, and beyond, safe by dismantling dangerous meth laboratories amongst other law enforcement tasks. He's survived numerous fights, gun battles (and gunshot wounds!). Now, Aaron is fighting for his own life, battling severe health issues that doctors believe are linked to the toxic chemicals he was exposed to during his service and exposure to chemical agents inside meth labs. He urgently needs a liver transplant, but without financial help, he won’t qualify for the procedure. The state isn’t stepping up to support this hero who put everything on the line, so we’re turning to you— friends, family, and community—for help.
Aaron isn’t just a former agent—he’s a lifelong shooting sports enthusiast, fisherman, and hunter who has lived for the outdoors and the skills he honed over decades. For years, he worked in the shooting sports industry as a law enforcement armorer instructor as well as a sales representative for an iconic American firearms manufacturer, sharing his expertise and passion with countless others. Whether he was on the range, casting a line, or tracking game, Aaron’s love for these pursuits defined him as much as his courage in the field. Now, those days feel far away as he faces a battle he never saw coming.

Here’s Aaron’s story in his own words:
"I started feeling under the weather last fall and have been in and out of the hospital for just over a month total. Basically my body is shutting down and it causes fluid buildup in my abdomen which must be drained and removed. The fluid buildup restricts breathing and blood flow to other organs. I don’t really like talking about it but have received several messages lately. I am only responding to help people understand where I have been and why I am slow to respond. I am down to below 180 lbs now which is a drop of about 150 lbs total. Doctors are still working on a cause however it is possibly linked to my years of working meth lab cleanup and destruction for the state. Most days are painful on joints and sleep issues. Again remember family and close friends are what we need when life cuts you down."

Aaron’s condition is critical. The fluid buildup in his abdomen is putting immense pressure on his body, making it hard to breathe and threatening his other organs. He’s lost nearly 150 pounds, and every day brings pain and sleepless nights. Doctors suspect his liver failure stems from years of exposure to hazardous chemicals while he dismantled meth labs—work he did to protect us all. Now, he needs a liver transplant to survive, but the costs are overwhelming, and without funds upfront, he won’t be eligible to make it onto the transplant list.
We’re raising $250,000 to cover medical expenses, transplant qualification costs, and ongoing care. Every dollar goes to Aaron and gets Aaron closer to the surgery that could save his life—and eventually get him back to the range or the riverbank he loves so much. This isn’t just about money—it’s about giving a man who served our state and enriched our community a fighting chance to recover and be there for his family and friends.
Please consider donating whatever you can. Even a small amount makes a difference. If you can’t give, sharing this page with others would mean the world. Aaron didn’t hesitate to put himself in harm’s way for us or to teach and inspire others through his work with Colt, an iconic American brand he truly shined working for—let’s show him he’s not alone in this fight.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts,
Aaron's support team
