<div>Hello, my name is Chris, and I’m a 9-year sober opiate addict who has worked hard to rebuild my life and give back to others walking the same difficult road I once traveled. Today, I’m proud to be a full-time student at the University of Nevada, Reno, pursuing my degree in Social Work so I can help individuals and families affected by substance use disorders find hope and recovery.

<div>As a father of three amazing children, my life is full of both blessings and challenges. During this major career transition, our family has been doing everything we can to stay afloat. While I dedicate myself to my studies and training to become a social worker, we’ve relied heavily on SNAP benefits to keep food on the table.
