Help a good single mother

Donation protected
I am posting this for my sister, Katie. She is wonderful mother who loves her two babies, Reilly (age 9) and Marlee (age 8), more than life itself.  On November 4, 2017, she was dealt a blow by the family court system in Missouri where she will soon no longer be able to see them except for every other weekend and on Wednesdays.

What did she do wrong?...

She wanted to move closer to their father so the kids would be able to participate in extra curricular activities.  During the transition she asked the children's father if they could stay with him full time while she made the arrangements. The kids were enrolled to a new school and began staying full time with him. He was paying monthly child support prior to this change of events and she had majority custody. They had been staying with her during the week and he had them on weekends as they attended a school closer to where she lived at the time.  He sued for a change of custody after having them for two months and after 22 months of litigation he was awarded primary custody and she now  owes him child support. The judge did this because she lived in a town adjacent to the one the kids lived in and currently attend school at. She lives 10 minutes from the children's school but apparently that was too far. I feel this judgement is unjust and we want to appeal that decision.

The problem is she is a single mother without the funds to pay her attorney the fees she currently owes or to file an appeal. She is currently looking for a new residence in the town the kids attend school but without the ability to retain her attorney she might as well be living in another state.

Any support given would go immediately and direclty to paying her attorney the fees they are owed and after that would be used to file an appeal. She currently owes her attorney approximately $33,000 and we are estimating it would take at least another $20,000 to keep her fight up. This would mean so much to me, our family, and Katie to at least be given just a little hope. At this point all she wants is to spend more than one night a week and every other weekend with Marlee and Reilly. Please help a loving mother fight for her kids if you feel this is a just cause.

Thank you for reading this post.
