My friend Samuel is exactly ONE class away from his Computer Science degree, but a past housing debt is blocking his graduation.
Hey everyone,
I’m writing this because my close friend Samuel is stuck at the absolute finish line of his college journey. He has completed almost his entire Computer Science curriculum, maintained his grades, and has exactly one single class left to get his degree.
The obstacle: He owes a past housing balance directly to the university, which has unfortunately been sent to the State's Central Collection Unit (CCU). Because of this hold, the university will not allow him to register for his final class or release his transcripts.
He wants nothing more than to finish this final step and enter the tech workforce, but he cannot clear this bureaucratic hurdle alone. Every single dollar raised goes directly to paying off this specific collection unit balance so he can enroll in his final class this upcoming semester.
If you are a developer who remembers how hard it was to get your start, or just someone who hates seeing a system block a hardworking student at the 99% mark, please consider reading his full story or sharing
