Stoner's Funstore of Fort Wayne has been a staple in our community since 1949. Dick was a young 19 year old magician when he and his parents opened up for business, mainly as a magic shop. Over the years they added jokes, theatrical accessories and costumes. Their lifetime of work is too great to list but includes creating costumes for entire school plays in our local schools/colleges! At 90 years old, Dick shows up to work nearly every day - his love is teaching magic tricks to customers and getting people of all ages interested in the joy of magic. Dick and De Stoner have worked hard and touched many lives during that time; and in June of last year were able to celebrate their 70th year in business with a huge block party, welcoming the entire city of Fort Wayne into the festivities!

Being deemed a "non-essential" business, they have been greatly affected by Covid 19 shutdowns. Stoner's has had the same loving employees for years and years and they treat them as family. They have fought to stay above water and were looking forward to once again being open for business. Unfortunately before they were able to do so, they were targeted during the riots. Having been faced with an already deeply challenging season, this turn of events has made a comeback of this Fort Wayne Icon incredibly taxing.

The funds raised will go towards meeting a large deductible, and any other costs associated with getting open once again and funds are needed immediately!
