Help a Fledgling Religious Community Grow

+Pax in Maria

Dear Friends in Christ,

Greetings in Our Lady!  We come to you today to ask your assistance for a noble endeavor for the glory of God.  We have the joy to introduce to you a fledgling community in Northern Italy that needs your support to spread its wings!

In these times of turmoil and uncertainty in the world that we live in, God continues to inspire souls to turn to Him and give their whole lives for His honor and glory.  Such is the case for a small group of souls that are being welcomed by the Benedictines of the Immaculate in Villatella, Italy.  There is already one Sister at the house, and she is awaiting the arrival of three other Americans in the New Year.

The community is wishing to follow the Benedictine traditional way of life after the example of Dom Romain Banquet and Mother Marie Cronier, who, inspired by God, founded two Benedictine Monasteries in the 19th century, a time when the faith and love for vocations had grown cold and was under attack, especially in France.  For them, as we hope for us also, it was God’s hour!  St. Benedict’s spirit lived on in our Founders, and we too wish to walk in their footsteps, breathe the same supernatural air, spread the love of God and His message of salvation, mercy, and truth.  We are seeking a contemplative life of prayer and adoration for the glory of God and the salvation and sanctification of souls in this spirit.

However, we cannot accomplish this task alone and thus call upon your generosity to help to achieve this “Work!”  We propose to be as “Moses” with arms outstretched for the victory of the Church Militant, by the traditional Benedictine Life of contemplation and manual labor, but we need you to be the soldiers and the “Aarons,” helping us in whatever capacity you are able.

Currently we will be established in a residential home in the town of Villatella, graciously put at our disposal.  As more vocations feel inspired to join this fledgling community, it will become necessary to find a property more suitable to the monastic vocation and to help us fulfill the “Work of God,” as our foundress was inspired to call it, in our holy vocation.

These hopes, as well as the expenses incurred with the arrival of aspirants, inspires us to reach out to all of you in hopes that God will inspire in you a great generosity to aid us in our work.  Some current expenses are listed below:

Help American aspirants
come as soon as possible:  $25,000

(helping with the debt of
one, plane tickets, dowries)

Cost of running the house: $10,000

Savings for future
convent/property :  $30,000

This is an example of our needs at this time.  The most urgent needs are those for the incoming aspirants as well as the necessities for running the house.  Soon to come we will also need your assistance to purchase a suitable property for our community.

With hearts filled with gratitude for every prayer or donation offered to realize this Work of God, Sister Marie and the future candidates remember you in their daily Rosary and promise to have Masses celebrated for the intentions of our future benefactors.

May God bless you, and Our Lady keep you always in the Peace of Christ!

Ave Cor Mariae!
