Help a family whose father was wrongly jailed

Donation protected
There is a good man that was wrongly incarcerated and his family needs your help until he gets out.

On a winter afternoon last year, our friend was leaving the store that he owned. In the passenger seat of his car was a bag of money to be dropped off at the bank. Unfortunately, he had no choice but to travel along a road well-known for theft.

While on this stretch of the road, another vehicle pulled up beside him and began to try to nudge him off the road in an obvious attempt to try to rob him. Our friend tried to slow down, speed up, and evade. The accosting driver knew what they were doing and kept up the assault.

Our friend was genuinely afraid for his life, and had every reason to be. He was forced to draw his sidearm and fired into the tires of accosting vehicle and blew them out. Our friend could have easily fired through the door and killed the assailant, but chose not to cause any unnecessary harm. He then stopped his car, kept his sidearm, and gained the attention of the police.

The police took the report. The prosecutor decided not to even try our friend and was going to let it go as there wasn't enough evidence to try the assailant. Unfortunately (again) another prosecutor got a hold of this case and not only charged our friend, but charged him for a drive by shooting.

As preposterous as this charge is, there was no video or other evidence to help sort out my friends innocence. This new prosecutor upped the situation so horrendously, that our friend's lawyer advised him to just take a plea deal with the Alford's plea.

Our friend is now in jail for using his weapon to save his own life from an assailant.

Your help is needed in making sure his family is taken care of while they anxiously wait to be reunited with him in approximately 6 months (with good behavior). Your generosity will make sure that our friend's family can keep their lights on and food on their table as they try to make ends meet with a temporarily broken home.

We cannot control our government or the things they do to our families, but we can help those that our government injures. Be the difference this small family needs.

Thank you.
