<div>Six months ago, a hardworking family of eight…Mom, Dad, and six young children, ages 15, 12, 7, 5, 3, and 1, finally got a chance at stability. After years of living in a small trailer, they moved into a beautiful three bedroom home.

<div>I am the homeowner. A longtime client of their small contracting business. I had seen what an honest, kind, and selfless man the father was, and firmly believing the universe’s power to reward good people with good things, I offered the family the opportunity to stay in this home while working toward purchasing it. I wanted to give back to someone who had spent his life helping others.

<div>But now, their dream is slipping away.

<div>The family’s small contracting business, once thriving, has been devastated by the economy. As the community has struggled, so has their work. Despite their best efforts, jobs have slowed to a halt, and the family has fallen on hard times. The father has had to look for work elsewhere, drastically reducing their income and changing their ability to qualify for the home.

<div>The original timeline of six months for the sale to go through, has come to an end, and the HOA will not allow “renters” to remain on the property. I simply cannot postpone the sale any longer.

<div>Their only housing option right now is a one room cabin with no walls, no electricity, and no way to keep six children safe and warm through the coming Oklahoma winter.

<div>But it doesn’t have to end this way.
