West Philly Family Needs Your Community Support

Sandra is an incredible black single mother of three and educator in West Philadelphia. We have been friends for almost a year and I have always been inspired by the light she brings to the world. Her children are bright, lovable, and enthusiastic. Sandra works so hard to give them opportunities (like violin lessons, dance club, etc), transfer to good schools, and stay healthy.

At the beginning of 2020 Sandra was looking forward to graduating in July (and the potential for a promotion because of it), her kids birthdays, and another school year. However, as we all know, Covid19 has hit families hard.

Sandra lost her job at a school in early May and (although she has filed several times) unemployment still has not kicked in. Her oldest daughter has *severe* asthma and has had a lung collapse twice, so leaving home is incredibly risky for her. She is now struggling to pay rent, bills, have sufficient food, and celebrate her kiddos birthdays. No family should have to live with this amount of stress. Donations are to help her family
stay housed, fed, celebrate 3 summer birthdays, and get back on her feet until the school year starts and she is able to get a job again.
