Please help our friends from Ukraine

Feature in Hawaii News Now - Hawaii News Now wrote a story about Max's family journey from Ukraine to Hawaii. 

As some of you may know, we have just welcomed a family from Ukraine into our town of Pahala - Maksym Kolosov, his wife Karina, and daughter Lina.

 

They escaped from the city of Slovyansk in Ukraine, making their way into Germany, and finally entered the United States after receiving humanitarian parole.

 

We have been able to receive them here and are incredibly grateful to the local community for their kindness in providing initial help!

 

While we submitted their employment authorization paperwork soon after they arrived, the wait times are very lengthy. During this waiting period, we wanted to ask for any help that you may be able to offer.

 

Most urgently, they need assistance with general living expenses. Next is transportation - getting them their own car would be a huge help. If you prefer to send a check, you can mail it to: Alla Kostenko, PO Box 266, Pahala, HI 96777.
