A devoted mother and her adult son have faced more than their share of challenges in recent years. After being laid off during the early days of COVID, the mother worked hard to find a new job, only to be met with another crisis: her son’s health took a serious turn, requiring open heart surgery. Now, he is waiting for a heart transplant, and the family’s world has been turned upside down. 
 
 
 
 Caring for her son meant the mother had to miss significant time at work, and as a result, she was not receiving her full pay. This has left her two months behind on rent, and she is now facing the very real threat of eviction if she cannot get caught up by the end of the month. On top of this, medical bills continue to pile up, adding to the stress and uncertainty. The mother herself has also faced health concerns, but with medical guidance and medication, she is managing her condition while continuing to support her son. 
 
 
 
 Despite these hardships, this mother is determined to create a better future. She is not only working and caring for her son, but also attending school to study in the health field.
