Help a Cherry

My dearest fam and friends !! I recently was hit by a car while riding my bike here in Brooklyn... I broke my t12 vertebrae (among other bangs). For almost three weeks now and counting, I am unable to work. 
I had already bought my ticket to California at the end of the month (to clear my storage unit and deal with some legal issues).  But In continuing to heal , I won’t be able to work much out there either.
I am hoping to raise this chunk to get me through the following weeks until I am back to work and my back is stronger. 
I am filing a no faults claim but won’t see anything from that in months, realistically.

It is humbling- if not totally embarrassing- coming out and asking for this financial help. I was really taking care of my shit for a sweet moment there, til getting kicked in the ass so suddenly (and literally.)

Anyway, I so wish I were here asking for your help toward a creative project or something philanthropic... and I am sure I will receive more than a few criticisms for this; but here I am, vulnerable and honored by any thing you may offer my broken body. Mahalo
