<div>We’re short about $5000 to cover the cost of exit visas, final travel documents and expenses. Then, the host government and a relative of theirs who lives there will be able to support these incredible, resilient women as they are processed for asylum.

<div>Your money has helped secure escape from Afghanistan, where one of the women was a well known on-air journalist. You helped her and her sister eat and pay rent in a safe(er) country that, unfortunately, quickly became dangerous for Afghans. Too dangerous to stay.

<div>She is selling her paragliding equipment, and nearly everything the sisters still own after years of a tenuous existence. I'm also putting in as much money as I can afford to at the moment. I know that things are tight for everyone right now, but if you can spare even just $10, like so many of you have in the past, it will get us there!
