<div>Hi, my name is Rochelle. I am my mom’s full-time caregiver, and right now, we are in hardest chapter of this season of our lives.

<div>My mom is currently in the hospital in recovering from a hip surgery. She is also a stroke survivor with deficits from her stroke- she suffered a major stroke in April 2024 and has undergone two brain surgeries since then and now this hip surgery to provide comfort and better progress in her recovery.

<div>I am by her side every day—advocating for her, helping manage her pain, and doing everything I can to keep her body from declining.
</div>

</div>
<div>The hardest part is this chapter we are now facing:
</div>
<div>I cannot safely bring her back home right now to continue to care for her, our current living situation- we have stairs, and it is not safe for her condition nor will she be able to tolerate the transfers it took pre surgery to be able to get her up and down the stairs and because of that, there is a very real possibility she may be placed in a nursing home if the system fails us in getting her a higher level of care.

<div>I am trying with everything in me to prevent that.

<div>My goal is to relocate to a safe, accessible space where I can continue caring for my mom myself—where she can heal, be comfortable, and be surrounded by love instead of being placed in a facility- we both have PTSD from previous experience at a facility.

<div>I am asking for help—something that is not easy for me.
</div>

<div>The funds raised will go toward:

<div>•	Continuing to provide for her daily caregiving needs
