Hi, my name is Jack. I’ve been out as a transgender male for 6 years, and it’s now coming up to my 18th birthday, after which I’ve always planned to get top surgery. Reality is now hitting, and prices looking less achievable. While I’ve now started working, we all know the job market could be better and I’m stuck on minimum wage. Unfortunately, due to the attitudes where I live, I’ve felt the need to cover my face and I’m attempting to keep this as anonymous as I can for my own safety. Doing this surgery through the NHS is just unrealistic, with waiting lists taking years at a time that I don’t have. Private top surgery is pretty much my only option, which we all know is expensive, hence this fundraiser. Top surgery would mean the world to me, I’d finally be able to start living my life as me, no longer living in the shadows of low self esteem and insecurity that dysphoria leads to. Any donations at all would be life changing to me, and to anyone reading this I can’t thank you enough.
