Please help Thomas Alexander walk again

Donation protected
This is my friend Thomas Alexander, his fiance Cindy and their five children. Cindy's job is their main means of support while Thomas takes care of the kids, they also look after him. He receives a small SSI check each month but it is no where enough to take care of a family this size. Thomas likes to do small engine repair at home for extra income when he is able too and it keeps him active.
Thomas will be 44 in March and grew up in Bastrop, TX where he graduated high school in 1988. He has been a diabetic for the past 32 years and it has caused several complications in his life. The worst being diabetic skin ulcers cuased by Neuropathy resulting in three amputations, the last being just below his left knee after developing MRSA in the bone. Thomas has now been in a wheel chair for the past three years. Having Neuropathy, staying in the chair could lead to further complications and or even more amputations. His wheel chair has been his only source of mobility thanks in part to the bureaucratic red tape in his state funded insurance program which will not provide for a prosthetic in his region. He has been fighting the system for three long years. Walking again would mean keeping the Neuropathy in check, more mobility and the chance to stand at his wedding later this year when Cindy and Thomas get married.
As his friend, I think Thomas has waited long enough and I am taking action and asking for donations of any amount, even if it's just $5, we know God will multiply it. Our goal, to provide Thomas with a gently used prosthetic leg, costing somewhere between $1000 to $1500. Then having it retro fitted to his leg and a molding made. After six months of use it will need to be refitted again. Each fitting and molding cost around $8000. He will also go though physical therapy to learn how to walk again. We believe the insurance will cover PT from what his doctor has said. When we reach the first goal of $1500 we will begin to shop for the prosthetic. The second goal of $9500, he get's it fitted and starts to learn to walk. The final goal insures the second fitting six months later and covers the cost involved with gofundme.com
Please consider donating to this cause. If you know Thomas personalty or his story touches you, please share the link to this page. The more we get the word out, the better the chances of seeing Thomas walk again soon. Jesus told his disciples that if they believe in Him, they would do the same miracles as He did because he was going to the Father. (John 14:12) My friends, seeing Thomas walk again will be a modern day miracle. Would you please join with me in making this happen?
Thank you for your consideration and God bless,
