Help Ryan Baker Heal From Coma

Donation protected
Be part of Ryan Baker's MIRACLE.

On February 26, 2018 Ryan was driving home from work and was in a head-on collision just outside of his neighborhood. The impact of the car accident caused Ryan's brain to sustain a severe injury known as diffuse axonal shearing. The injury left him in a coma and he was life flighted from the scene of the accident to the trauma ICU. After several weeks at the hospital, Ryan's insurance has transferred him to a hospital much farther away. Because family support has a major impact on your level of recovery, his wife has had to relocate near the hospital to continue to be by his side.  Without outside donations, Jennifer will be unable to stay by his side, unable to pay their mortgage, and unable to give him the best care.

Even with great medical insurance, the costs of his injuries are devastating. He will be in long term care and rehab for many, many months. Ryan is the sole financial provider for his family because Jennifer was diagnosed with leukemia shortly into their marriage,  and they have already struggled to pay those medical bills and living expenses. When Ryan wakes up, we want him to worry about getting better and have as little financial stress as possible.

We are continually grateful for the prayers on Ryan's behalf and see small miracles every day. While he is still in a coma, Ryan has begun to open his eyes and respond to simple commands. Despite the long road ahead, we have great hope for his recovery.

Ryan has always been a giver and never expects handouts. Throughout his life, he has served his family and community in countless ways. He was an Eagle Scout by age 16, spent two years of his life as a missionary in Brazil, and at the time of his accident was serving as the Sunday School teacher for the 3- and 4-year-olds in his local church congregation. This is our chance to give back to the man who has given us so much.

The funds raised will be used to cover medical and living expenses while Ryan is unable to work.

Ryan and Jennifer are beyond appreciative of any donations you may be able to offer. And if you cannot contribute financially, please share this page and encourage others to read his story and donate what they can. Thank you, and above all else, please pray

We believe miracles are real, and we can all be part of this one.
