Help Oday's family survive the war in Gaza.

Hi, my name is Mohammed Salout, from Germany and I’m organizing this fundraiser on behalf of a young man named Oday who I met through a mutual Palestinian friend. When I first spoke with him, I was struck by his quiet strength, his love for his family, and the heartbreak he carries with grace and dignity. Tariq is 23 years old. He and his family have been displaced by the ongoing war in Gaza and are now living in Mawasi, Khan Younis — an area overwhelmed with displaced families, shortages of basic supplies, and daily danger. After hearing his story, I knew I couldn’t stay silent. He’s not asking for luxury — just for the basics of life, and a chance to keep his family alive, safe, and hopeful. All funds raised will go directly to Tariq and his family through a secure and reliable transfer method available to them in Gaza. ⸻ Tariq’s Story – In His Own Words: “I am Tariq, from Gaza. My family and I were forced to flee our home and now live in a tent in the Mawasi area of Khan Younis. I’m 23 years old. My father Ghassan (44), my mother Najla (40), my sister Hani (19), my brother Tariq (15), and my youngest brother who is only 3 years old — we are all together, trying to survive. But two of my brothers are gone. Hani, who was 20, and Mohammed, just 12, were killed by Israeli airstrikes. We still don’t know everything about how they died. We couldn’t even bury them properly. We have no one to search for them, no resources, no help. Our lives have changed completely. We used to be a family full of laughter and hope. Now we live in fear, hunger, and grief. But we still thank God every day. We still hope. When I was younger, I dreamed of going to university to study science abroad. Now, there are no universities left to go to. They’ve been destroyed, along with our future. I’m not asking for much. Just help so my family can eat. So we can buy medicine. So my little brother doesn’t go another day hungry.” ⸻ What Your Donation Will Support: • Emergency Food & Water To feed a family of six, including a toddler, facing severe shortages. • Medicine & Hygiene Supplies For Tariq’s siblings and parents living in unsanitary, overcrowded conditions. • Warm Clothing & Shelter Materials To help improve their living conditions in Mawasi, where they currently sleep in makeshift tents. • Phone/Data Access To communicate, stay informed, and apply for humanitarian aid. • Education Fund (Long-term Goal) To help Tariq return to school and rebuild his dream of becoming a scientist. ⸻ How You Can Help Right Now: • Donate any amount — even $1 helps. • Share this page with friends, groups, or on social media. • Send a message of support — it means more than you know. Every small act of kindness adds up. You have the power to help this family survive this unimaginable time and keep believing in the goodness of humanity. Let’s help Tariq and his family hold onto hope — together. Thank you for caring, Mohammed S. And when you want to add updates…, just write what is happening , the latest , with your family. Stuff like:” the food is running out from he stores, not sure what we will do, the adults ca man bear it, but the children are at risks of dying, it has happened before and it’ll happen again. Not sure what else to type here, I am at loss with how nothing is changing.., and we are waiting for our last day to come. Sometimes I think it’s better if we vanish, yet when I look at my youngest sibling.., my heart tells me that God has a plan greater than living through daily constant pain .., and then I start day dreaming about a world where we have food, shelter and we are happy. Thank you again for reading and for showing kindness to a complete stranger you’ve never met.
