Anthony Birch's Story: -
Before I was re-admitted for endocarditis (Heart disease) I was working as a Passionate full-time high end chef where I have gained experience working alongside Like-minded World class Michelin star Chefs. !.
I have always done my most for others and raised money for various charities and homeless causes within various communities and have now unfortunately found myself in a position where I now need your help!
I was diagnosed with congenital heart disease and was operated on at 4 months, since then I have pushed my self in my career and also by helping others and charity’s around me. I was diagnosed with endocarditis in 2014 and now again and just need some support to get me through this! I have a very poorly heart, I have a leaky tricuspid valve a V.S.D a narrowing of the auota and a enlargement of the polmary.
I am being treated at Brighton hospital, where I am on a drip every 4 hours night and day of gentamicin and benzopencillin. Because of the damage done from 2014 and further risk they are going to operate and close the hole and replace the valve. I am a fighter and a true lion heart so will get through this.!.I have always helped charities and supported the community of Canterbury by raising funds for the children’s heart federation,umbrell centre & Summerville foundation. Further-so, voluntarily donating my time as an Great Ormond Street ambassador, where I would run talks and offer advice for heart kids and their parents.
Currently I myself, am in hospital for 8 weeks and I am not being paid from my chef work while I'm here and will likely lose my house and become homeless due to this. With this in mind it really isn't the added stress I need at a time like this and hope you beautiful people can help in anyway you can. I don’t want to have to write this but is my only option to put my mind at ease while I battle Heart Disease in hospital and come out the other side stronger and back into the comfort of my home.

Christmas Day2017, we took over the Umbrella Centre to cater for the vulnerable and less fortunate which needed the support of the community
