My grandfather loves nothing more than sitting down with a good book or sharing stories with visitors, and my grandmother will always greet you with a warm smile, a snack, and make sure you're as comfortable as can be. They have spent their lives showing kindness to everyone around them—and now, they need a little kindness in return.

<div>Just two weeks ago, a major plumbing disaster struck their home. Roots had invaded their sewer line, causing sewage to back up and flood their bathroom, hallway, and living room with contaminated water.

<div>It was worse than anyone expected:

<div>-Their entire bathroom had to be gutted.

<div>-Mold was discovered during demolition.

</div>

<div>-The living room flooring was completely ruined.

<div>They're currently staying in a small, non-handicap accessible apartment in a less-than-ideal area. It’s far from the comfort and safety of their own home.
