9 yr old David's last days. Diagnosed with DIPG

Donation protected

9 Year old David Asher and his little sister recently went through the heart break of losing their best friend Lucy, a dog who has been with him from time he was born. A few days later David was diagnosed with DIPG.  David has 1 year left to live at most and will undergo treatment.  DIPG is a type of tumor that starts in the brain stem, the part of the brain just above the back of the neck and connected to the spine. The brain stem controls breathing, heart rate and the nerves and muscles that help us see, hear, walk, talk and eat.  Currently there is no cure for this, although radiation treatment could slow it down.  Children diagnosed with DIPG live 6-12 months after diagnosis.  David is the most selfless young boy i have met.  he is very loving and kind, he loves nature, loves to be around friends and family.  During these difficult times David's family have to relocate so he can undergo treatment.  With this being near the holidays it would be great if anyone could help to combat the stress and sadness this family is enduring.  It is hard to explain and express the sadness of losing someone so special
