Help 9 year old Sophya Beat ITP

My 9 year old niece was diagnosed with ITP in February. She was expected to get better in 6 months like most kids do. With ITP there is always a less than 1% chance of stroke and brain hemorrhage.

We are sad that our girl would become that less than 1%. Sunday, July 2nd, Sophya woke up at 4:30 am and had a severe hemorrhagic stroke and seizure. She was air lifted to a special hospital where she received an emergency brain surgery to stop the bleeding. Her parents, family, friends and community are devastated by this tragedy. 

We are putting our faith in God and trust His will. At this time she is in critical condition. She is receiving a platelet transfusion around the clock. We know He is working on her as she is making small but such meaningful strides that let us know she is a fighter! 

Sophya is the middle of 5 children. She loves gymnastics, her pets and she is the best little
mothers helper and leader to all of her younger siblings and cousins. 

We set set this up as a way of donating or leaving a message. We know not everyone can donate but something to consider is platelet donation. There is a huge need for platelet donations for ITP patients. So please check your local blood center for more information.
