I’m Nicholas, and I’m asking for help for our team at 42 Quantum, an independent research lab we run together. We’re a group of engineers from software, defense, AI, procurement, and manufacturing who started building things at night that none of us could build alone during the day. Everything we create is released free to use, including Nocturn, our live global tracking and data fusion platform. We don’t take customer money, because we want the work to stay independent and never bend toward a buyer. But that also means the real monthly costs for servers, data feeds, AI credits, hosting, and infrastructure all come out of our own pockets, on top of our full-time jobs. None of this goes to salaries, and nobody on our team is paid.

Your support will help us keep Nocturn running and free, while also covering the cloud AI credits, hosting, domains, databases, and graph infrastructure that keep the lab alive for the year ahead. We want to keep building open technology that people can access without a paywall, and your help makes that possible. We’ll share updates with supporters, and if you’d like, we’ll add your name to the supporters wall at 42 Quantum. If you want more of this to exist, this is the most direct way to make that happen. Thank you for supporting independent research and open technology.
