<div>Hi, my name is Leticia, and I'm reaching out with a heart full of love and hope for my sweet  4-year-old nephew, <strong>Josue Sebastian</strong>, who is battling a rare and serious condition affecting his bone marrow—the very part of the body that creates blood cells to keep us alive. Right now, Josue's little body is struggling to produce the three types of blood cells we all need just to function. And every day is a delicate uncertain step forward.

<div>Here's what this means for Josue Sebastian:

<li>His Red Blood cells are dangerously low -these are what carry oxygen through the body.
</li>
<li>He has severe Anemia.
</li>
<li>At one point, his hemoglobin dropped to a life-threatening 4.2 (normal is 11.5-13.5); transfusion helped bring it to 9.0, but that is still far from safe.
</li>
<li> His white blood cells are also low, leaving him vulnerable to infections
</li>
<li>His immune system is weakened-he has almost no defenses.
</li>

<div> Doctors are still searching for answers. What we do know is deeply concerning. Josue's baby red blood cells are near zero, meaning his body is not even trying to make new blood. These points to something terrifying- his bone marrow may be failing.

<div>My little nephew is being treated and monitored closely at Phoenix Children's Hospital, where amazing doctors are performing advanced tests, genetic screenings and may need another painful  bone marrow biopsy soon.

<div> Despite all this, Josue Sebastian remains so brave. But what he is going through is heart breaking:

<li>Endless pokes, blood draws and transfusions
</li>
<li>Constant fatigue and frequent hospital visits
</li>
<li>The confusion of not understanding why his little body is feeling sick.
</li>
</ul>
<div>No child should have to go through this. No parent should have to watch their baby suffer this way. His parents are doing everything they can. They are by his side day and night trying to hold it together while being separated from their three other children back home. This journey has taken an enormous emotional and financial toll.
