My friend Brian reached out to his friends recently about the heart-breaking situation of his 2-year old daughter and I thought, well, I can't help much but maybe we can create a GoFundMe.
So, here we are…
Dianne Chloe is a 2-year daughter of one of my high school best friend Brian. In February 2020, she was diagnosed with bilateral Wilms syndrome, a very rare cancer of kidneys in children. Both her kidneys are affected and she has been undergoing chemotherapy treatment at Mulago Hospital in Kampala-Uganda. In November 2020 she was referred to the Artemis Hospital in Gurugram India for complete removal of one kidney and partial nephrectomy of the second kidney. Dianne travelled to India with her mum and a nurse today 17.12.2020.
While Dianne's parents, Brian & Jean are trying their best to give her a chance, they have run out of all their savings and other resources. But they need $30,000 for her treatment and maintenance of her mum and nurse while in India for treatment and her continued care once they are back in Uganda after successful surgery.
We are hopeful. We are reaching out to all of you to support Dianne get a new lease of her very young life. Any donations beyond the cost of Dianne’s treatment and maintenance of carers will be donated to the Mulago hospital cancer unit in Kampala.
We can do this. Maybe, even at 2 years, we can give her the best Christmas gift of her life. Thank you so much for your help.
