ABT SUMMER INTENSIVE CAMP - 2015
Hello my beloved family and Young Artists Supporters.
Helga Yarí is developing very well as a potential classical ballet dancer. During the past year, her dedication and hard work have increased, as well as her goals and aspirations. Just to mention some of her achievements during this past year: Helga was one of the soloists in the 2014 Spring Production of “Giselle” where she danced the principal role of Giselle, and also was the Sugar Plum Fairy in the Nutcracker production of the School for the Creative and the Performing Arts in Cincinnati, Ohio. In addition, she was a semi-finalist in the Overture Awards Competition sponsored by Cincinnati Arts. Recently, she traveled to Milan, Italy with the SCPA Dance Ensemble, where she was one of the soloists and received an excellent reception in this European city. This year, Helga has danced for the third time with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra at the Cincinnati Music Hall as part of their Lollipops Concerts Series. She has also performed in their productions of Peter and the Wolf and Carnival of the Animals. Helga has also succeeded at school in her academic work and has recently been inducted into the National Honor Society of her school due to her outstanding academic achievements.
As a key component for her development as a ballerina, it is strongly recommended that she participates in a full Summer Intensive Program with one of the major schools or companies in the nation. The participation into this type of training is by audition and invitation only. During the last two months, Helga has auditioned for the top ballet programs.

Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre School
Dance Theatre of Harlem Ballet
American Ballet Theatre in New York City
New York City Ballet
Joffrey Ballet School (also invited as a prospective trainee this upcoming fall)
Basic costs (tuition and housing) for the summer intensive programs are between $5,800 and $7,500. Registration fees and other materials, such as pointe shoes, leotards, etc. are additional.
Throughout this process, an exhaustive conversation with the American Ballet Theatre in New York yielded the possibility of attendance this summer at the cost of $5,700 for her tuition alone.
We are asking for any type of sponsorship, given that we have to pay a minimum amount of $2,800 before April 25 in order to make possible her participation in the program.
