Heinrich Finck's Christmas

Donation protected
Hi, I'm Sig Rosen, and helping to re-produce in Concert what would have been part of a Julian year (c. 1500) Christmas Service in Germany or Austria, which NOW would be Saturday January 7, 2023.
Our group The Renaissance Chorus of New York- now called RenChorNY for the digital age- was the first and only such recreation we know about- at Carnegie Hall in 1961, which we recorded on LP (remember them?) in 1962.
This and our other such pioneering recordings of the early Early Music movement will be heard at https://www.renaissancechorus.org/music

The Concert, at St Francis Cabrini Shrine, 701 Fort Washington Avenue, Manhattan, NY, is possibly the first since then devoted just to the great German master Heinrich Finck c.1444-1527.

This Event is dear to the Board and me and especially the Music and Art students of Harold Brown, (1909-1979), who founded the chorus and first researched and presented Heinrich Finck.

Dr Richard Porterfield leads the Chorus.
The major works are the Festival Introit 'Puer Natus Est' with chant, the Mass "de Beata Virgine', and Motet 'Domus pudici pectoris'.

Little over a third of our expenses are covered by dues and audience donation at the shrine and so we are asking for donations in the amount of $3,100.

We hope to offer a video of the new event to all who donate over $15.
However, we hope all will be inspired by the artistic and spiritual power of the composer and former conductor to support this project. Do enjoy the Agnus Dei: https://www.renaissancechorus.org/debeata6.mp3
