Greece Missions Trip 2016

Dear friends and family,
I want to inform you of some very exciting news! I am (finally!) going to be returning to Athens, Greece this summer, to continue the work that I was able to take part in during the summers of 2012 & 2013. As many of you know, Greece is a country very near to my heart, & the work of Hellenic Ministries is something that I love taking part in. Next month, I will be returning to work at two HM camps which I have served at before. I will be in Greece from June 21 to July 2, to serve at refugee camp & Greek children’s Bible camp.
As some of you may know, last fall I started a new job at a non-profit ministry in North Carolina. While this job has been a blessing to me, it has also caused me think about ways in which I can reach out to and engage with those in need of hope and love, since I am surrounded by Christian co-workers every day of the week. I never want to get “comfortable” in this setting, but want to constantly remain missions-minded. As a result, I have decided to take a leap of faith and plan this trip on fairly short notice. God has opened the doors, and everything is falling into place, so I am moving forward with raising support now.
The total amount that I need to raise is $1700, and that will cover airfare, lodging, food, and ministry costs. I have been in prayer about going back to Greece ever since my last visit there in 2013, and I am confident of God’s calling and timing for this trip, and for his provision of the necessary funds.
Please join me in praying for my time in Greece. Pray that God will be at work in the hearts of those who will be at the camps this summer, especially the Muslims at refugee camp. This camp will fall during the “30 Days of Prayer for the Muslim World,” which is very cool timing. In addition, please pray for me, as I prepare my heart and mind for these weeks of service. And lastly, pray that God would provide the money necessary for my trip.
