- This is Hector, my father. I didn’t really know him growing up, but we connected in my adulthood. Turns out today he’s a great guy. He was a victim of the pattern; he never knew his father, so he didn’t know how to be a father. He has a really bad case of kidney stones. If he doesn't get the surgery, he would end up on dialysis for the rest of his life. For some reason, his insurance won’t cover it, and he needs $10k.
