In Loving Memory of Hector A. Hernandez

Donation protected
Hector A Hernandez or “Tilo” was a loving uncle, son, and brother of 5 sisters. Born in El Salvador, he immigrated to Chicago in 1990 with his single mother, who was later diagnosed with cervical and lung cancer. As the caring and loving son he was, Hector took care of his mother during her illness until she passed away. Hector was always a very compassionate and giving person, although he never raised a family on his own, for many years he became a sponsor for children in El Salvador. Providing them food, and an education when they are young until they graduated high school. Giving them a better life and an opportunity to get an education he never received, due to working at such a young age. In 2019, Hector was baptized and he was so happy and excited that he became Christian and was able to connect with God. The main reason for staying in Chicago was to work and continue supporting his sisters, giving all of his 10 nieces an education in El Salvador. His dream was to pass his civics test and officially become a U.S Citizen.

He passed away at 47 years old, alone on Thanksgiving Day in his apartment. He passed away from a heart attack due to the natural cause of diabetes.

With your donations, we hope to help Hector’s immediate family to pay for his cremation and send his ashes before Christmas.
