Sylk Dance Academy was established in Macclesfield in 2009. We are an established dance school with over 200 students and offer classes throughout the week in various styles. In 2016 we were lucky enough to open our own studio to hold all of our classes, which was a massive milestone for us. Unfortunately as amazing as the studio is, we have no means of heating it sufficiently during the cold months.
We have a large space heater and radiators but due to the big space the heat just isn't retained and it remains cold....very cold! Since January 2017 we have dedicated all our events (discos, parties etc) to fundraising for heating & air conditioning units to be fitted throughout the studio. We have already raised £1000, however it is starting to get cold again and we still don't have the funds we need to get this installed. It is an urgent matter and will make a massive difference to our students, parents and teachers as last year it was almost impossible to run the classes in such a cold environment. Every penny counts and even a small donation will get us closer to our goal.
