Heathers Medical Expenses

I created this GoFundMe for my dear friend Heather. We have been friends for over twenty years, meeting in kindergarten! On November 30th 2017, one day after her MRI, Heather got the call no one can ever imagine. Her doctor told her she had a large and fast growing tumor in her brain that was sitting on her coratid artery, optic nerve and with the possibility of damaging the nerve that controls the movement of her left eyelid. Doctors moved quickly to figure out the extent of the tumor and when to remove it. On January 10th of this year Heather underwent surgery to remove her brain tumor. They successfully removed "most if not all" of the tumor. Overall, Heather is healing fairly well, but has a long road ahead of her. She has had a few setbacks in the hospital which will require a longer stay. Thank goodness she has an amazing husband, father and in-laws who are standing by her side through all of this.
While Kiel and Heathers insurance is covering some of the costs they will still need to cover over five thousand dollars just in medical costs. On top of that, Kiel took three weeks off of work to help Heather settle back into being home and adjusting to life outside the hospital. Heather will be out of work with no sort of income for at least a month and most likely longer. They were also just told that they will need to continue occupational therapy which insurance may or may not be covered. Within the past couple years they designed and built their dream house. They need to be able to make the monthly payments, along with bills, car payments and just living costs.
Heather and Kiel have not asked for anything other than thoughts and prayers for Heathers recovery. However, the last thing they need to worry about it how they are going to keep their house, continue to get medications and therapy for Heathers recovery. So, please if you know Heather or Kiel you know they would be extremely grateful for any donation, big or small. If anything, please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
UPDATE: Heather is home. She spent two weeks in the hospital and had a pretty rough go. A few complications have made it so Heather will not be able to work for 1-2 years. They are currently trying to sell thier house and downsize to be able to live off of 1 income. Heather and Kiel are so thankful for the donations that have come in, THANK YOU to those people! xoxo
