Heather's 2017-2020 appeal

I was so desperate to reach a good two years beyond the end of my treatment, as then the risk of recurrence significantly reduces. Sadly, 9 months after my final dose of radiotherapy, the determined and resilient triple negative breast cancer is back. My original tumour wasn’t responsive to chemo, so I am going to use the private services of Oncologica UK in Cambridge. Here they can perform hundreds of tests on tumours to identify (hopefully) what fuels them, and therefore find better targeted treatment to destroy them. But it costs around £2,000 which is one of the purposes of this new appeal. There is also another company that use off licence medication which has supportive evidence in the treatment of breast cancer; The Care Oncology Clinic, and basic treatment will cost approximately £1300.
