Heather's Leukemia Recovery Fund

Any one... any time... any place... Cancer can just hit you. My name is Kim and this is my daughter Heather's Story.

On May 30th after a long weekend holiday camping with the family Heather had a sore throat that just progressively got worse over the weekend, when it became unbearable she went to the ER. She was found to have an abscess on her Tonsil which needed surgery. Through blood work that was needed to do surgery the doctors discovered Leukemia.
If Heather had not went camping all weekend and let her throat get so bad that she needed surgery they would not have found out she had Leukemia. (A blessing in disguise)
Heather is now in the Cleveland Clinic's Leukemia Unit and is receiving Chemo Therapy. This is a painful, sickly month long process. She will have to have repeat Chemo Therapy sessions for the next 6 months to a year that will require hospital stays. She lives on her own and will be unable to work during this process.
Her life will be turned upside down, we will help her as much as possible but, with no other means of support Heather will not be able to support herself.
The funds from this will be used for her medical and living expenses.
