A couple months ago I was raising money to go on a mission trip to to Ethiopia, however I was presented with a great opportunity and received a new job offer. Unfortunately, I am not able to go on the mission trip at this time and instead of deleting my Go Fund Me account I decided to raise money for my dear friend Megan and her family.
Megan's Story: My friend Megan was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia in October 2013. She started this new journey at the Sylvestor Cancer Institute in Miami, Fl. Over the course of the year, Megan has been in and out of the hospital (but mostly in), received a bone marrow transplant, and multiple rounds of chemotherapy. After being in remission for only a short month, Megan's cancer came back. Her wonderful mother was able to get Megan into a clinical trial in Texas so thats where she currently lives. For all of the times that I have called, texted, and seen Megan she has NEVER once had a sense of giving up. She is such a beautiful and inspirational woman, both inside and out. She is positive in many ways and I truly look up to her. She is a FIGHTER. At such a young age, Megan has been through so much.
Long story short: I want to raise money for Megan and her family. Her medical expenses are through the roof. I cannot imagine having to deal with medical finances through such a stressful time. I ask that you donate to this wonderful and powerful woman while she focuses on being healthy and KICKING CANCERS ASS. Thank you in advance!
