Our friend, Heather Quiggle was brutally attacked in her own home. She is currently in stable condition at a local hospital. When she is able to come home she will be in need of support financially to offset the medical bills & to get her home put back in one piece. At 2:42 am on December 19th, officers received a call about a shooting at 10365 Plantation Bridge Drive. Officers arrived to find two victims: Heather Quiggle and her boyfriend Jerrold Knight had been shot.
Officers immediately provided life-saving measures by applying a chest seal to Ms. Quiggle and a tourniquet on Mr. Knight's leg. Ms. Quiggle's son was at home during the incident, heard the gunshots, jumped out his window, and ran to a neighbor's house to get help.
The suspect was identified as a former boyfriend of Ms. Quiggle. Abdul Batin Azzaam Rashid is a black male, 46 years old, 5'07", 175lbs, with graying hair and a close-cut beard. Rashid was last known to be driving a Dark Grey 2011 BMW 550I, Georgia Tag CTN3038. Detectives are currently seeking arrest warrants for Mr. Rashid for (1) count of Aggravated Assault under the Family Violence Act, (1) count of Aggravated Assault, (1) count of Burglary, (1) count of Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony, and (1) count of a Convicted Felon in Possession of a Firearm. If encountered, Mr. Rashid should be considered armed and dangerous.
Both victims are being treated for their injuries at a local hospital and are in stable condition.
