Fight Cancer With Heather

Donation protected

Hello there! My lovely significant other, Heather Taylor, and I have been together since 2011 and have since had 2 amazing boys, Owen and Jackson.  Heather is a strong, caring, loving women who means the world to me and our family.  Everyone who knows her knows how compassionate and driven she is and  I couldnt image myself without her.

She was diagnosed in April with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma (IDC) stage 3a and it completely floored us. It was hard hearing the news from her after she had gotten word with the results of the biopsy.  It's crazy to think that we go about our lives thinking that this could never happen to us and then all of a sudden it hits you.

Heather under went a double masectomy in June and had a number of lymphnodes removed as the cancer had spread.  The surgeons removed a 6 cm mass from her left breast which was starting to spread to the underlying muscle.  She will undergo a chemo regimen starting the first week of August until late December.  Heather will be treated every other week for the first 8 weeks and then will ramp up to every week for the last 12 weeks heading into December.  After that she will undergo 6 weeks of radiation.

We have learned that this treatment will destory her ability to produce eggs.   Our dream is to have 3 children and so we have taken steps to save some of her eggs to try for one more a few years down the road once we get through this.

We're getting our last hurrah in before she begins treatment with a vacation to the Outer Banks for a week with her family.  She is keeping her spirits up but I know its always in the back of her mind.  Our boys are looking forward to the trip and are excited to play in the sand! Hopefully the beach will give her a sense of calm before the storm.

The road to recovery will be long and tough and have been blessed with the love and  support from our friends and families.  We are asking for your help in this fight, assistance with the impending medical bills, and time away from work Heather will incur during treatments.

Heather is a truly special person and love of my life, strong and determined, she will defeat this horrible disease.  Please donate to her fight!

Our goal is to raise $10,000 to help with covering the rising medical costs and the time she will have to take away from work.
