Heather Rosenthal-Gill (McBride)

On Sunday, August 12, 2018 Heather Ann Rosenthal-Gill (McBride) unexpectedly passed away at the very young age of only 33. Heather is survived by her husband and love of her life Ryan, 2-year-old daughter Madilyn, and 9-year-old son Connor. Heather devoted the past two years of her life to being a full-time mother. Heather and her family arrived back home from her Grandpa’s funeral in Idaho this past weekend. Heather had a cold, was exhausted from travel and was resting Saturday.

Sunday morning her husband woke up and was unable to awaken her. He immediately called 911 and started CPR. Multiple medical personnel came to the scene and were involved with her care at the hospital. Paramedics were able to revive her in route to the hospital. Her blood sugar was close to 900. Heather was not diagnosed nor was showing any symptoms of diabetes. She had gestational diabetes during her last pregnancy, however she was cleared by the doctors shortly after Madilyn’s birth and had no symptoms of continuing diabetes. The doctors believe she developed diabetes 2-3 months ago. She slipped into a diabetic coma early Sunday morning while sleeping.

During her time in the ICU she suffered 11 cardiac arrests. Heather was strong and a fighter, trying to stay here with her family. Despite having major neurological damage, and to the surprise of the medical staff, she was able to hang on until her sister Hannah arrived. Heather left this earth with her sister cuddling her gently, laying by her side and her husband holding her tightly. Heather was a selfless, kind, generous person with a vibrant spirit that could be seen by everyone.

Unfortunately, due to the abruptness of her passing at such a young age, financial arrangements had not been completed. We are asking for money donations in lieu of flowers for funeral costs, burial, hospital bills, education and childcare costs for her children. Thank you for all your support, thoughts and prayers. She will be missed immensely.
